Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the Right Product

How do I know which Lunor products are right for my skin type?

Each product description includes a recommended skin type. As a general guide:

  • Dry or mature skin — look for products with nourishing oils, shea butter, or hyaluronic acid.
  • Oily or combination skin — choose lightweight, non-comedogenic formulas.
  • Sensitive skin — opt for fragrance-free or minimal-ingredient options.
  • Baby skin — use only products from our Baby Care range, formulated for delicate skin.

If you're unsure, start with a single product and patch test before building a routine.

Can I use Lunor products during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before introducing any new skincare products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Patch Testing

What is patch testing and should I do it?

Patch testing means applying a small amount of product to a discreet area of skin — such as the inner forearm or behind the ear — and waiting 24–48 hours to check for any reaction. We recommend patch testing whenever you try a new Lunor product, especially if you have sensitive or reactive skin.

How do I patch test correctly?

  1. Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry skin on your inner forearm.
  2. Leave it on for 24–48 hours without washing the area.
  3. If you notice redness, itching, swelling, or irritation, discontinue use.
  4. If there is no reaction, the product is likely suitable for your skin.

Sensitive Skin

Are Lunor products safe for sensitive skin?

Many of our products are formulated with sensitive skin in mind, using gentle, naturally-derived ingredients. Look for products labeled "suitable for sensitive skin" in the product description. We always recommend patch testing before full use.

Can prebiotic skincare cause breakouts?

Prebiotic ingredients support the skin's natural microbiome — the community of microorganisms that help keep skin balanced and healthy. When you first introduce prebiotic skincare, some people experience a short adjustment period as the skin adapts. This is not the same as an allergic reaction. If you notice persistent or severe breakouts, redness, or discomfort after starting a new product, stop using it and consult a dermatologist or qualified skincare professional.

What if I experience a reaction to a Lunor product?

Stop using the product immediately. If the reaction is mild, allow your skin to settle before trying again. If you experience severe redness, swelling, or any other serious reaction, seek advice from a medical professional. You're also welcome to contact our team — see the Contact page for details.

Ingredients & Terminology

What does "natural" mean on Lunor labels?

We use naturally-derived ingredients wherever possible. "Natural" refers to ingredients sourced from plants, minerals, or other natural origins. All ingredients are listed on the product packaging in INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) format — the global standard for labeling cosmetic ingredients.

What is INCI and how do I read an ingredient list?

INCI names are the standardized Latin or scientific names used for cosmetic ingredients worldwide. They appear in descending order of concentration — so the first ingredient listed is present in the highest amount. If you have a known allergy to a specific ingredient, always check the INCI list before use.

Are your products free from parabens, sulfates, or artificial fragrances?

This varies by product. The full ingredient list for each product is available on its product page. If you have specific ingredient concerns, feel free to contact us before purchasing.
